Rute S Moura holds a degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Biological Sciences. Currently, she is an Assistant Researcher (PersonalizedNOS Project) at the Surgical Sciences Research Domain, at Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS).

RSM main research interest is focused on lung development, specifically in the study of temporal mechanisms underlying chick lung development and also studying signaling pathways relevant for normal and disease pulmonary development.
