Degree in Applied Biology from University of Minho, Portugal (2006). PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Minho, Portugal (2011). Developed her PhD thesis at the ICVS in the oncobiology field. She did a year (2012) of postdoctoral research in the Molecular Oncology Research Center, Barretos, Brazil where is currently a collaborating investigator. She was Professor of the Faculty of Health Sciences Dr. Paulo Prata Barretos, Brazil in 2012 and is currently professor of the post-graduation program in oncology of the PIOXII Foundation - Barretos Cancer Hospital, Brazil. Since 2013 she is postdoctoral fellowship in the oncobiology field at the ICVS.

The main research interests are: molecular and cellular biology of solid tumors; molecular targeted therapies in oncology; receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) - biologic functions, signaling, and potential therapeutic targeting in solid tumors.
