João Vaz Silva is a 5th year MD student from School of Health Sciences, University of Minho. His research interests and current work focus on the effects of stress on neuronal function and morphology and its implications for neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and depression. Joao has also received research training participating in different projects e.g. Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto (Portugal) and Harvard Medical School (USA).
