João Bessa, MD (2001), PhD (2008), Board-certified psychiatrist (2009), Assistant Professor of Anatomy and Psychiatry at the School of Health Sciences, University of Minho, Principal Investigator and Research Project ICVS/3B´s Associate Laboratory) University of Minho, member of the Academic Clinical Centre, School of Health Sciences/Hospital de Braga and founding partner of a Bn´ML. Currently works as Assistant Professor in the basic fields of Anatomy in the Organic and Functional Systems curricular area and as Coordinator in the clinical field of Psychiatry in the Clinical Neurosciences curricular area of the School of Health Sciences, University of Minho. Has currently 1 PhD and 2 Master students under his supervision and is co-author of several original research articles and reviews (16 peer-reviewed papers with an accumulated impact factor of 108 and 460 citations).
